Why You Can’t Lose Weight, Healthy Food, Austin Wellness

A common-sense approach to healthful eating and nutritional supplementation is important to any weight loss program. The human body has the natural ability to maintain a healthy weight automatically until it is forced to store fat through a lack of physical activity or a low calorie diet. Research has
shown that the consumption of fat calories has dropped more than 20 percent in the American diet in the past 25 years.

However, a calorie-restricted diet forces the body into a starvation response of storing
as much fat as it can for later use. The easiest way to lose weight is to maintain a well-balanced diet with a mild decrease in caloric intake and increased physical activity.

A weight-loss supplement may help to accelerate weight loss only when combined with nutrition and exercise. Life Time Fitness recently introduced LeanSource Thermogenic Supplements, an ephedra-free, soft-gel weight-loss aid that utilizes metabolically active ingredients to accelerate weight loss, decrease body fat and increase energy and metabolism. Scientifically its designed to promote rapid weight loss without the use of harmful stimulants, the supplements are part of a comprehensive weight-loss program, which also involves 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise and 20-25 minutes of resistance training four times per week.

Individuals who want to lose weight should employ a balanced approach that include exercise,
education and nutrition, combined with safe, effective weight-loss supplementation.

As people strive to manage their weight and health, consumers have been bombarded with the latest
miracle weight-loss supplements and diet programs. Many of these options offer a quick fix promise,
as opposed to a balanced, healthy approach to long-term well-being. This leads to unrealistic expectations from diet supplements and programs.

Help answer the question about nutritions weight loss

Need advice on nutrition/weight loss, please! (preferably from a trainer or nutritionist)?
I weigh 165 and would like to lose 35 pounds in the next few months.
For the last month I have been working out 4-5 times a week for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. I do cardio/ resistance training. I eat healthy ( lean meats, no red meat, no refined carbs). Drinking water etc. No alcohol. Basically all of the right things to do and really strict about it.
I have only lost 2 pounds!!
Is there a energy supplement that might be helpful to boost my energy or weight loss. Any suggestions on what to add to kick start this program would help…Thanks!
oh yeah, I'm 5'7. If anyone needs that info..
As far as a normal day, my eating schedule is:
Breakfast: Protein Shake with Fruit (mixed berries)
Lunch: Chicken Salad or Quinoa/Tomato Wrap
Green Tea
Dinner: Turkey Burger or Chicken Burger with veggies..
Every once in a while another protein shake.
(That's all-every day)

  • When I was pregnant with my third child, I was in excellent shape. I did thirty minutes of running with weights every single day while pregnant. I only gained twenty pounds and I delivered a healthy ten pound boy with one push. I expected losing the last of the weight to be just as simple, after all, I had done so well keeping in shape during the pregnancy. And I was breastfeeding, so I figured I would be stick thin in no time.
Well, evolution knocked me upside the head just about then and reminded me that mommies have fat stores for a reason. Our bodies are determined to hold on to what we've got for the sake of our little ones, who require us to be healthy to nourish them. I really didn't lose anything while breastfeeding, no matter how hard i tried. And I saw all those magazines of all those celebrities who gained sixty pounds and lost it all in two months and they all thank breastfeeding. That's crap. Yes, breastfeeding burns an extra 500 calories a day on average, that's true. However, those celebrities need not thank breastfeeding. They should thank personal chefs, personal trainers, nannies, and pre-packaged everything at their disposal whenever they so desire. Also, their careers depend on their weight loss. If my boss told me to lose weight I would tell him to go fu himself, if you know what i mean. lol. Another thing, losing weight that quickly also produces harmful by-products which can be released to your baby in your breastmilk.
Soooo…I think exercising is a good idea and make sure you watch the quality of food you're eating over everything else. Just don't get too discouraged if your body tries to hang onto those last few pounds. It's doing it for the baby and it will give you a break once you wean him. It sounds like you're on your way to losing the weight, it will just take time. Meanwhile, don't buy any of those stupid ass special interest magazines featuring celebrities on the cover who thank breastfeeding for their incredible forty five pound weight loss in three weeks. It's bull shit!

Definitely Kevin Trudeau's Natural Cures books. They are easy to read and are not like anything else out there. I will never look at nutrition the same again. After reading it, I've naturally migrated to a more healthy lifestyle simply because I'm a lot more informed on the facts.

I applied the things in the book, such as a great colon cleanse program: You can get a free trial at http://happy-colon.com. I feel a lot lighter and my body is able to absorb nutrition much easier now

    Best wishes!

Weider's "Fat Burner" is a metabolism booster – there are many many other brands that produce very similar products. This product is a combination of:

Chromium Picolinate – which helps your body metabolize stored body fat.

Green Tea Extract – raises your body's metabolism and makes it less likely to store fat. (Though you could just stop drinking carbonated beverages and drink only Green Tea and get the same benifit – probably for less money.)

Caffeine and Kola Nut – again, this will raise your body's metabolism. Obviously you will want to take this first thing in the morning and not late at night otherwise you will not sleep well.

Cinnamon and Cayenne – a little extra spice I guess. I'm not convinced that either of these will really help that much. But the those who eat spicy food do have a higher metabolism and burn fat more easily (so I have heard.)

Like I said, there are many brands out there that offer similar combinations. So feel free to shop around and try other products too.
