Studies have shown that if you are starving yourself, then you aren’t losing weight effectively. A meal that Americans are having trouble eating is a healthy breakfast. Studies have shown that a well balanced breakfast is a keystone to a healthy diet and lifestyle. Many people who are trying to lose weight miss manage breakfast, and that leads to failure in their weight loss ambitions. Breakfast, as the name of the meal explains, is the breaking of the night’s fast. Your body has been sleeping, and recharging during the night’s sleep. When sleeping your body is conserving energy, and partially shutting down. This partial shutdown slows your body’s metabolism. The body doesn’t start to metabolize and burn energy, which is how your lose weight, until it takes in some form of nutrients. That is one of the many reasons why breakfast is essential to losing weight. Once you eat breakfast, your body will start to burn energy, and prepare for the daily load ahead of it.
Breakfast foods, especially foods that are prepared in a hurry, can sometimes be huge landmines to a healthy diet. Many times breakfast foods can contain a large amount of calories and fats. While it is usually good to eat foods at breakfast that will give you energy, it is important not to over indulge and eat foods that will sink your calorie count before the day starts. Fast food breakfasts should be avoided at all cost, also it is important to stay away from foods with high sugars. Breakfast cereals, breakfast drinks, and breakfast smoothies are all items that can contain a high amount of fats and calories in very small servings.
Breakfasts that will give energy, and will help in your diet should include items that are low in fats and sugar. Eggs, oatmeal, fruits, and healthy cereals are all items that can be consumed on a regular basis without killing a diet. Another item that should be thought about around breakfast time is protein.

When trying to lose weight, remember, there isn’t any reason to starve yourself. There are much more effective ways to lose weight. Through some smart decisions like eating breakfast and adding whey protein to your diet, you will have success.

Nutrition – Weight loss related question?I would like to know if i will lose weight eating like this – this week so far and exercising regularly also?

Sunday 18th Jan
+ 15- 20 minute jog / walk
- 1 boiled egg /w/ 2 slices wholemeal toast with butter = approx 324 – 330 cals
+ Gym = 30 mins X Trainer – approx 360 cals
20 mins Treadmill – approx 200 cals
5 mins Bike – 50 cals
5 mins stepper – 50 cals Workout total approx = 650 cals
– Walked there and back
- Salmon, sweet potato and salad
Monday 19th Jan
- 1 Crumpet with Flora light = approx 125 cals
- 1/8th Honeydew melon
- Lettuce
- Treat = 2 Hobknob lights
- Fish in Butter sauce, small jacket potato and broccoli and sweet corn
Tuesday 20th Jan
+ 15 minutes jog / walk
- 2 Egg white omelette
- Apple
- Mango chicken with salad
- A little chickpea spiced curry
+ Walk 400 cals burnt
Wednesday 21st Jan
- Bowl of Special K Sustain and soy milk
- Apple
- 1 Clementine
- 1 Salmon Fillet with half a small jacket potato and small corn on the cob
+ Gym and walk there and back = Burnt off approx 500 cals
Thursday 22nd Jan
- 2 Egg whites omelette
- 1 Crumpet with Flora Light
- 1 Banana
-1 Mini Spicy bean tortilla with cheese and chopped tomatoes
Tortilla 118 calories in tortilla
Spiced Beans around 1/2 tin
Chopped tomatoes around 1/4 of tin
Cheese/ a few sprinkles
- apple
- a few blueberries
+ Cleaned house throughly today – exercise? lol

Grains can make you gain weight.
You can try to work at fitness centers like 24 or Baily. Work to be a personal trainer but I dont have a clue how much you get paid.

Ths is good if you don't overdo it. Especially apple cider vinegar which contains chemicals that are good for you. If you put a tbsp of apple cider vinegar & a tbsp honey in a glass of water stir it and drink it before each meal, not only does it help you eat less, it also help dissolves fat and cholesterol. Look it up. I tried it. Of course you need a balanced diet.
Weider's "Fat Burner" is a metabolism booster – there are many many other brands that produce very similar products. This product is a combination of:
Chromium Picolinate – which helps your body metabolize stored body fat.
Green Tea Extract – raises your body's metabolism and makes it less likely to store fat. (Though you could just stop drinking carbonated beverages and drink only Green Tea and get the same benifit – probably for less money.)
Caffeine and Kola Nut – again, this will raise your body's metabolism. Obviously you will want to take this first thing in the morning and not late at night otherwise you will not sleep well.
Cinnamon and Cayenne – a little extra spice I guess. I'm not convinced that either of these will really help that much. But the those who eat spicy food do have a higher metabolism and burn fat more easily (so I have heard.)
