The key is to find a diet plan that stresses healthy eating habits instead of indicating that a person must only eat a certain food group or cut calories to dangerous levels in order to lose the weight. Here a<span id="more-180"></span>re a few helpful hints to help you decide when searching for a diet plan that will fit your lifestyle best.</p>
<p>Being healthy is important &#8211; Fast weight loss diets should be safe or they are not worth trying. A safe diet should include all daily recommended allowances of vitamins and minerals, as well as protein and fiber. Not following nutritional guidelines can lead to malnourishment and other long term health problems.</p>
<p>Get enough calories- It is very important to not cut your calories too low. By cutting your calories to less than 1,000 per day for woman and 1,600 per day for men, you can cause irreversible harm to your body. Never go below this number per day or for long periods of time. Cutting your calories too low can cause your metabolism to malfunction, thereby stalling your weight loss efforts. It can also cause many other side effects that can do more harm than good.</p>
<p>Eating fruit and veggies &#8211; If you find fast weight loss diets that stress eating fruits and vegetables, they are probably going to work well for you while making sure you are not jeopardizing your health. Fruits and veggies provide many vitamins, minerals, and fiber which are required for optimal health.</p>

Dairy is great for curbing the appetite, provides much needed calcium to the body. Studies show that by consuming foods such as yogurt, cheese, and milk can slow the formation of fat cells and boosts the metabolism.</p>
<p>Eat moderate meat- or at least some kind of protein. Protein helps the body to build and repair tissue and muscles, make hormones and other imperative functions throughout the body. Remember though, that too much animal protein can cause damage to some of our vital organs, and should only be eaten in moderation, if at all.</p>

<p>I know what you are thinking &#8220;Easy Weight Loss Plan&#8221;, Ya, Right! As a doctor I am always been given information by patients on this and that diet or strategy and it can be unbelievably confusing. </p>
<p>Even as a doctor, I am confused. I have taken all sorts of course on nutrition and health and to be quite honest it is all a little over the top for me.</p>
<p>I hear all sorts of great evidence to support eating carbs, not eating carb<span id="more-166"></span>s, eating lots of protein and not eating any protein especially from animal products.</p>
<p>While creating more information for my blog, I can across a program that at first looked like another diet but when I actually read through the material, it absolutely blew me away.</p>
<p>The concept that you have to completely resrict what you eat and how much you exercise is completely false, and I sort of already had that feeling.</p>
<p>Heres the thing, eating more or eating less is not the key it is timing your eating so that you maximize your metabolic burn.</p>
<p>This explains a lot for me as a doctor because there are many times I have patients who say they have lots weight yet spent the last two days at a buffet table.</p>
<p>If you want to lose weight you need to cycle through consuming more food with less food. Our bodies work and function like waves they are sometimes up and sometimes down.</p>
<p>If you can figure out when to ride the wave and when not too, you have figured out the harmonic balance of the body.</p>
<p>A simple test is to spend a couple weeks exercising on a regular basis everyday doning your favorite activity, but go through periods of eating more calories followed by periods of eating less calories.</p>
<p>Monitor you weight everyday and make note of when your weight starts to drop is it on days after you eat more calories or on days when you eat less calories.</p>

<p> First of all, I want to start by saying that depression can be an incredibly serious illness. Nothing listed in this article is to take the place of the advice or medications as prescribed by a qualified physician. What we will attempt to do in this article is simply provide some things you can do yourself to hopefully overcome the symptoms of depression without having to resort to prescription drugs. If you cannot, do NOT feel like a failure som<span id="more-162"></span>etimes the illness of depression requires taking more serious action so heed your doctor\&#8217;s advice at all times. </p>
<p>I think just about everyone feels depressed at one time or another. Perhaps you don\&#8217;t get the promotion you were counting on at work, or you were struck down with an illness that makes you feel hopeless, or any of a number of other things derail you making you feel that life somehow just isn\&#8217;t fair and you become sad and overall depressed. This is certainly common because of the events mentioned above, but for some of us, these symptoms come on suddenly often not even associated with any specific event at all. Depression can strike without warning and zap your interest in activities you used to love or even life in general. If you notice yourself not reacting positively to things you used to love and feeling like you just don\&#8217;t want to do or become involved in anything at all, you may be feeling the symptoms of depression. If you notice these signs yourself, the thing you NEED to do is take action immediately. Below is a list of some things that may help you bounce back to your old self. </p>
<p>Exercise &#8211; If you are down, then get up and get active! Physical exercise has shown to be incredibly effective at curing the symptoms of depression. Set a realistic goal for your workout and hit it and this sense of accomplishment will do wonders for your outlook. </p>
<p>Check your diet &#8211; Unhealthy eating, especially a diet high in sugar and processed flour has actually been linked to depression in some folks. If your diet resembles the menu of a local bakery, it may be time for an eating overhaul. </p>
<p>Skip the drink &#8211; Alcohol is a depressant not to mention it is toxic to your body. If you are looking to kick the blues, then start by kicking the booze! </p>
<p>Give meditation a try &#8211; Sometimes the stresses of our daily life can be just too much too bear and if we just had a break to allow our mind to rest and relax, we could get rid of this negative energy that can often lead to a depressed. Meditation can be the perfect answer to help you relieve this stress. </p>
<p>Get your 8 hours EVERY night &#8211; Sometimes we become sleep deprived and we don\&#8217;t even know it. If your body has not had enough sleep, then you can bet it will catch up with you. Sometimes the symptoms you may be feeling that mimic depression may simply be because your body is exhausted. Try to make sure you get enough sleep every night as regularity is really the key here. </p>
<p>Make a list of things to be grateful for &#8211; Listen, sometimes it is hard to see depending on what we have going on in our life, but there is always someone out there who has it worse than us. If you put down on paper the things you have in your life that you are grateful for it can help put your mindset into perspective. Your family, your job, maybe a skill that you posses, put it all down. Keep this list with you and refer to it whenever you are feeling down. </p>
<p>I want to reiterate how serious depression can be. The tips above can and do help some who put them to use. The key thing is to do SOMETHING. If you are proactive and take action at the first signs of depression, then you can overcome it and come out on top!</p>

<p>Finally,age is important factor to consider,although,we now see obesity throughout the age spectrum.Obesity is more common in adults even though some children are obese.It is now shocking to learn that there is a tremendous increase in teenage obesity.This is a worrying fact !</p>
<p>As an overview of the facts about the causes of obesity ,these factors may work in a relationship or singly to lead to obesity.</p>

<p>The increasing obesity issues in our country have turned the attention of many people towards exploring new means of loosing weight. Many people have exploited this trend and today one finds numerous weight loss diet plans that promise the moon. The innumerable options for loosing weight that one can find cover weight loss diets, diet pills, body wraps, health spas and even weight loss surgery. The weight loss diets themselves range from more <span id="more-171"></span>popular ones like Atkins diet and GM diet to others like the South Beach weight loss diet. Some programs suggest a low fat intake whereas others recommend a low carb curriculum. The latest fad going around is the low glycemic index weight loss diet. There are also the meal replacements and meal providers that have found favor with many.</p>
<p>The choices offered are so abundant that one is often left confused about which one to chose for oneself. Though there are many testimonials going around, one does not know what combination of weight loss diet and change in lifestyle actually caused the weight loss. Also, though the details of the weight loss diet are mentioned, the manner in which it works is either not specified or extremely vague and ambiguous. To add to it all, most of these weight loss diet plans are temporary and short lived, the effect of which wears off in a few months. This yoyo effect is caused by the fact that most of these weight loss diets do not address the core of the issue. Why is it that some people seem to continue to put on weight in spite of the fact that they eat less?</p>
<p>The root cause of this enigmatic answer lies in the fact that gain in weight is fundamentally linked to cellular activity and unless that is addressed the problem of weight gain cannot be uprooted from the core. </p>
<p>Weight gain occurs when the amount of energy (or food) ingested in the system is more than the energy utilized by the body for various activities. About 95% of the entire energy produced in the body comes from the process performed by the mitochondria. Any factor that disrupts the efficient working of the mitochondria shall result in a decrease in the amount of energy used.</p>
<p>If the body is not completely detoxed, the toxins ooze out into the bloodstream through interstitial walls and cause the mitochondria to dysfunction. The mitochondria are small cylinder shaped tissues that produce energy from the food that we consume. The structure of these powerhouses of the cell is so similar to that of bacteria that they are greatly affected by excessive intake of antibiotics, magnesium, metals and toxins. Such toxic substances affect the immune system that produces nitric oxide, which in turn harm the mitochondria further. </p>
<p>Other factors that can also contribute to weight gain are improper diet, stress, organ dysfunctions, metabolic defects, nutritional factors and lack of exercise. Unless all these factors that contribute to issues that result in weight gain are addresses completely, you may be able to achieve short-lived reduction in weight by following one of the weight loss diet programs, but are unlikely to obtain long lasting weight loss results that ensure that your years ahead are healthy and full of success. </p>
<p>There is no medicine or pill that can cure mitochondria dysfunction and the only way to deal with this issue is to obliterate the factors that have caused the dysfunction in the first place. Addressing only the symptoms of the inefficiencies of the mitochondria (in this case the weight gain) by resorting to weight loss diets, ensure that the problem will reoccur. <br />

Not only does it get the mitochondria to work and produce energy as efficiently as it did before but also wipe out stress, organ, metabolic defects and all the causes of weight gain listed above.
