Michael Jordan vs physical intense defense MJ vs Real defenses the Jordan era! MUST SEE!!!!

Physical therapy jobs are hot right now since there is an ever increasing demand for qualified and skilled physical therapists in all the health facilities. This situation has been brought about by the increasing numbers of elderly population, a group which is particularly susceptible to a variety of debilitating physical conditions that demand physical therapy services. Besides the rise in the elderly population, other factors that contribute to this increasing requirement for physical therapists are (a) the baby-boom generation entering into an age when they are prone to heart attacks, strokes and other diseases and (b) increasing number of babies with birth defects who are being saved with the help of advancing technology.

Physical therapy professionals treat individuals with disabling conditions such as fractures, arthritis, low-back pain, heart disease, cerebral palsy, and head injuries. The main responsibility of a physical therapist is to restore function, relieve pain, improve mobility, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries and disease.

Career opportunities for physical therapists are growing much faster than the average for all other occupations. Individuals seeking a career in physical therapy should have strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, patience and integrity. To become a physical therapist, an individual must have a graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program and pass a licensure exam.

Physical therapy jobs give qualified health professionals an opportunity to work in prestigious medical facilities in different locations such as hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, rehab clinics, home health agencies, long term care facilities, doctors’ offices, assisted living facilities, employee health centers, and private offices that have specially equipped facilities.

Physical therapist jobs are well paid ones and the total earnings depends on the type of facility one works in and the nature of the job. Physical therapists on travel assignments usually get numerous benefits including paid homes, travel expenses, completion bonuses, medical and dental insurance, necessary licensing, and help in immigration processing.

Help answer the question about physicals

What all do they test for when you have blood work done before physicals?
As usual, I'm a nervous wreck about going to the doctor. I haven't been for a while, so I know they will chew me out about not going. What can I do to stay calm so my blood pressure isn't so outrageous? Nothing works to stay calm. Also, what are they testing for when you have blood work done … cholesterol, diabetes, what else?

Seems like a good video all except for the weapons part—the Sgt doing the talking did the activation correct but whoever did it the five times did it wrong……Should have been done with a gross motor skill, not a fine motor skill…

  • Thanks :) good luck to you too!

I do plan on continuing school. I’m already halfway to getting my bachelors, so it would be quite foolish to stop here.

About the academy, it all depends on which you go to. The orange county sheriffs academy his ridiculous standards. It is indeed like going through a special forces boot camp.

Other academies aren’t necessarily as stringent, but no matter where you go, expect to run A LOT.

I'm not a parent, but I've taken a sports physical. It wasn't too bad, except for the parts where they have to check your private areas, but that is really quick, and after that it's fine. When I did mine, my mom stayed inside. I don't remember if I got the choice or not. I think you do get the option of having your parent outside though, if it makes you more comfortable. The physical should be done by a doctor. Just go to your regular doctor (your family doctor, pediatrician, whatever.) They don't give you the option to refuse. For the most part it's fine, it will be over before you know it.

  • Taylor says:

Depends on who is giving the physical too. I just had one last month for work, which are not very complex. Once the doctor gets to your room and starts the physical, it lasted about 5 minutes. I'm a male. My girlfriend had one and it took her about 30 minutes.

  • Yeah you can apply with most agencies at 20.5 years.

If you want to work in SB County, why don’t you apply with the SB County Sheriff’s Department. Working for the CHP you could be assigned anywhere in the state. Moreover, CHP officers are primarily traffic cops. I’d much rather be a deputy, where you patrol residential areas as well, and get to answer calls for service like domestic violence etc.

Every area and clinic has their own prices. I'd start calling around until you find the best price.

  • nothing's different…. you just don't have to have your mom in the room with you :)

  • I actually just got my A.A. in Criminal Justice, and I’m probably going to be applying to several agencies in both San Diego and Orange County.

I’m actually thinking of driving up to Newport Beach on the 15th and taking the test. Which means, I’ll have do the PAT in this very video.

Oh I forgot to mention, if you do get hired by the CHP, you won’t have to worry about which academy you’ll go to, because all CHP recruits get sent to the CHP academy in Sacramento. 27 week live in academy.

My husband just had a routine physical. We had specifically asked about getting a A1C and was informed that diabetes testing is not done during a physical. We have to make a different appointment for that. I got home and called our insurance (BCBS) and they confirmed what we were told, that diabetes and other illness tests are not preformed during physicals. Physicals only include well being tests, such as cholesterol, wbc, rbc, etc. Any test for a specific condition will not conducted during routine physicals.

  • BlackDahlia says:

Yes. Internal medicine Doctors are primary care givers. You can go there for yearlys and if they find something abnormal, they can refer you to a specialist.

  • Ashwin says:

Athletic Physicals are like check ups to make sure you are healthy enough to play sports. They do some pretty routine stuff but the also have to feel your "Genetalia" (I believe is what it is called in the packet). They have to do this to check fofr cancer your something. Its kinda weird but its necessary if you want to play soccer. I wouldn't worry about that though. I don't now about soccer, but after other sports you just go home with your ride, you don't shower at your school. After practice is a different story. It's kinda like Gym. Good Luck with the soccer team, and don't stress about the Physical.

I turn 20 on the 11th lol, cant you apply at 20 1/2?

I’m not sure, I dont want to be a city cop. Probably CHP Ideally working Ontario or somewhere in San Berdino County. So i dont know which academy I would have to go to. im working on my aa should be done by spring. What about you?

  • elsamuraiguapo says:

Ticker858, the written test for SDPD? I assume you mean the San Diego Police Department? I wouldn’t worry about it too much. It’s all basically high school English. You’ll either pass it or you won’t. Not really much you can study…except for maybe reading more often to expand your knowledge and vocabulary.

I haven’t taken it yet myself, but honestly I don’t see myself failing it. English is one of my best subjects, and I have graduated from a junior college with an A.A., so it should be fine.

  • tghetto5 says:

Yeah, I’m really not sure what exactly I want to do. My major is psychology I originally planned on being a social worker or parole agent, but thats 2 more years of college and I feel like I need to be making money. You do bring up a good point, id much rather apply at SB county I just read up on both deputies make more, see more action etc. I would like to work Orange County or San Berndino county. I grew up in Ontario so it would be awsome to work there.

  • Yeah? Which academy would that be?

You’re exactly a year younger than me. I turn 21 on the 13th (Thursday) :)

  • tghetto5 says:

BTW good luck I hope you do well. Are you planning on continuing school after youre hired with an agency?

and were you serious about that academy? was this like special forces or just standard? cause I can definitly run 1 mile under 8 min but 5? I’m not too worried about 90 push ups or 100 sit-ups, but 5 miles in under 40 miniutes seems tough.

This isn't a great job. I did this right out of school for a bit–I had to cover my own transportation costs, call the people over & over at my expense (they often weren't home); I only got about $10.00 per physical, had to re deliver the blood etc to a central place at my expense, check in at the central place etc. I lasted about 1 week (and you couldn't guarentee how many people you saw weekly anyway). But I got my job through an agency that contracted out to insurance co's to do that….they advertised in a trade journal.
