How to Lose Weight without Deprivation!

According to Maria Herrera, a Broward Country massage therapist for almost ten years, “Regular massage is just as important a component as regular workouts and correct nutrition in any comprehensive fitness and weight loss program, which is great news for those of us who thought that exercising and loosing weight was all hard work! Remember, weight loss is all about leading a balanced lifestyle and massage is an essential part of any balanced lifestyle.  This is precisely why I’ve developed the Broward Weight Loss Massage.”

Bob LeMendola, a staff writer for the Sun-Sentinel, reported that first-generation Hispanics are much more likely to develop cancer than people in the home countries.  The big jump in cancer happens after Hispanics move to Florida and is due to adopting unhealthy U.S. behaviors such as overeating, fatty meals, and stress.  Dr. Paulo Pinheiro, a public health researcher at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, offered South Floridian Hispanics practical advice, eat and live healthily.

Massage has a positive effect on muscle-building capabilities and fitness levels, which increases the capacity to lose weight.  Healthy strong muscles burn calories and provide the freedom to participate in activities; more activities can help burn excess calories and improve overall fitness and well-being.

Massage improves circulation and the supply of nutrition to the muscles. Massage increases the interchange of vital substances between the blood and tissue cells, which increases tissue metabolism. After muscles are exercised, vital nutrients must be supplied to them so that they can recover and rebuild themselves. Massage maximizes the supply of these nutrients and oxygen though increased blood flow, which helps the muscles to grow and burn more calories as a result.

Massage improves range of motion and flexibility. This allows for the ability to maintain maximum power and performance while active, and burn the maximum number of calories in the process.  Improved range of motion and flexibility also reduces muscle soreness during periods of recovery and muscle repair.  Having a wide range of motion and maximum muscle flexibility also reduces the danger of experiencing injuries during exercise which can severely limit activity, exercise and weight loss progress.

Massage can also help reduce the chance of you over-training. Massage has a relaxing effect on the muscles and a sedative effect on the nervous system. By helping rest, which is a very important element of any exercise program, massage can reduce the likelihood of over-training syndrome, which is known to limit the ability to build strong healthy muscles and therefore lose weight with maximum efficiency.

Massage directly aids in fat loss. Massage is thought to be able to burst the fat capsule in subcutaneous tissue so that the fat exudes and becomes absorbed. When combined with proper nutrition and exercise, massage actually assists in weight loss.

There are two events that will be held in Palm Beach country in which Ms. Herrera will review the nutrition program.  One event is being held on August 14th at the Airport Hilton in West Palm Beach on Southern Ave. at 7pm.  The second event is being held on August 18th at the Mercedes Benz dealership on Linton Ave. in Delray Beach.  Participants can receive a free massage when signing up for a complete nutrition weight loss program.  To confirm attendance at either event or to book the Free massage and consult with Maria Herrera call   954-471-4592.

Help answer the question about nutritions weight loss

If I currently don't eat breakfast, but start, will I lose weight?
I'm trying to lose those last 5-10 pounds. I am starting to drink weight loss/ nutrition shakes as breakfast. I know that I will be consuming more calories than normal by adding breakfast, but many weight loss tips say to add breakfast because it speeds up your metabolism. Also, on days that I eat breakfast, I feel more hungry than days that I skip. Can you give me any insight? Should I be drinking weight loss shakes (such as Slim Fast or the Equate drinks) or Ensure? Thank you!

Nah just move onto phase 2 – How much weight are you trying to lose?

  • Damn, I might gain weight tho cause ive been eating around that for a while (2000 – 2300)…I guess ill increase slowly 200 cals extra starting tomorrow and the rest of the week and Ill increase another 200cals the week after this one…Thanks!

I think you should eat more. With as much activity as you say you do you are probably burning in excess of 1200+ calories a day just from the fitness. If your anything like me you could get away with eating 3500-4000 a day easy.

  • good tips, bro I eat 5 meals a day of 400 – 460 calories a day is this good or bad? im 5 ‘ 9 159 LBS

    I do 60 – 80 minutes of cardio 5 x a week
and weight training; a different muscle group a day.

I’m trying to be 150 pounds. I haven’t lost any weight, but i’ve seen very slight results within my first month. Should i do extra side workouts other then just the P90X workouts. i’ve been running 2 miles the day that i’ve been doing yoga, but i haven’t been getting the results i want.

  • nubbs says:

dude, stop schilling for p90x, unless they pay you to do this, in which case divulge that info

you do not need to spend any money on anything p90x related (except their pull up bar) to successfully get fit and look beach ready

    just do your research

  • Ok. well i’ve completed my third week and i haven’t lost any weight. my starting weight was 170, and i’m still 170. should i be concerned? and should i repeat phase one before continuing on to phase 2?
