Back acne is a problem that affects most people at one time or another. It can be embarrassing when going to the pool or beach and you remove your shirt or wear a bathing suit with back exposed. It can also be quite painful at times and irritating. The following article will give some valuable tips as to treatment and prevention of back acne.

Back Acne Causes

It is often difficult to pinpoint the exact causes of most types of acne, back acne is no different. What is known is that irritation can make it worse. If acne is showing up more persistent in certain parts of your body, such as your back, perhaps it has to do with certain clothing or maybe a backpack. Tight fitting clothing contributes to promoting acne, by trapping sweat against the skin and clogging pores. Sometimes back acne is just caused by a hormone unbalance or poor diet.

Back Acne Treatment

The first part of controlling back acne is cleanliness; you should wash daily with a cleanser that contains salicylic acid. You should also shower immediately after engaging in any physical activity in which you were sweating. Follow up your shower with a body moisturizer that contains Alfa Hydroxy acid. This will exfoliate skin and help prevent breakouts, without drying skin out.

At night time, before going to bed, you can treat back acne the same as facial acne by applying a zapping gel or a cream to your acne.

If your back acne is light to moderate you could use a Regimen. The Regimen works well but remember that it contains benzoyl peroxide and it will have a bleaching effect on any clothing that comes into contact with it. I would suggest wearing white shirts if you plan on using this as your form of back acne treatment.

For stubborn acne and severe cases you may have to get an antibiotic prescription, or prescription strength Retin-A. Acne on the back is much more resistant to treatment and the skin is tougher, so it will need to be treated aggressively. As a last resort, you could try Accutane.

One homemade remedy you could try is by using a combination of lye soap and tea tree oil. This helps oily skin and will help reduce acne and make your skin soft.

Back Acne Tips

- Always wear cotton clothing, loose fitting is best.

- You can apply powder to keep your back dry.

- If necessary apply anti-perspirant to your back, don’t do this if you are going to engage in physical activity because sweating is needed to help cool the body.

- Always wear clean clothes, bras and T-shirts when working out and put a clean towel down before lying on exercise machines or mats at the gym.

- Shower as soon as possible after perspiring.

- You should probably change your shirt twice a day whether you exercise or not to avoid bacteria buildup that can further aggravate your acne.

Although back acne is not as severe as other types of acne but when not treated properly it sometimes leads to scars and cysts.

  • PIMPLES
Pimples is a unique skin disorder.Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin’s pores are obstructed or infected. They can form for a variety of reasons. However, the mechanism involved in causing some pores to collapse and block drainage of natural oils is not really understood. Pimples may also crop up for genetic reasons. It is not clear how it can be inherited from one’s parents, but studies do indicate a high occurrence of pimples in children whose parents had it,too.
The pimples associated with adolescence almost certainly occur because of hormonal changes that take place during puberty. Both males and females get an overdose of the male hormone testosterone during this period, causing excessive generation of sebaceous fluids that invariably cause pimples.

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.

1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must. The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .

2.Care should be taken on makeup, moisturizers and other skin care products. If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.

3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don’t when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.

4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic
    quality.

5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.

8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.

9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and
    pimple scar.

10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.

11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.

12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and
yogurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.

14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.

15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

16.You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy.

17.Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.

Finally, certain medications may temporarily alter the hormonal changes prevalent during adolescence and cause pimple outbreaks. If this is the case, a simple adjustment in medication may be all that is required.

You might be wasting money but it's best to be sure. The simplest pimple advice is to keep skin clean, don't touch your face as hands transmit bacteria; eat fat-free foods, reduce dairy intake. Simple really if you want to stay beautiful/handsome. Stay nice.

  • Unknown. says:

sometimes thats the case. it might be bringing everything out of your skin so it can clear. but sometimes it could be your skin breaking out from the product. if you have tried acne products with salicylic acid in them without luck dont keep buying them. try clean and clear continuous control cleanser which has benzoyl peroxide in it or try and all natural product that wont irritate your skin at all.

  • "] says:

If she has seen a dermatologist and if that is what the dermatologist is recommending, then do it if it is possible for you to get that treatment. As the dermatologist about the best place to get the treatment.

People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.

Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

  • have you seen that commercial about they guy camping in the acne treatment isle…. well they guy is right.. its not a thing you can treat with topical things. ask your dr for a prescription med. and for some eating 'the right foods' doesnt always work for everyone! and with makeup… noncomedogenic means wont clog your pores so try that… and also try the mineral makeup. i made the switch last year and i dont break out like i did with the liquid then powder foundations.

  • Muelch says:

Well, if by the bumps, you mean little keloids, then I dont think laser dermatology is a good option for you.
I say this because I have the same problem. I have little keloids on my back and they just dont go away.Ive also taken accutane and everything, but although my face is smooth and clear, and my back doesnt have any break outs, the bumps are still there. What my dermatologist advised was injections in the bumps, these injections arent as expensive as laser and they have flattened the bumps out a lot. Also, the bumps were dark brown for me, and after the injections, they have become pinkish or light brown.
So, Id suggest you talk to your derm first before going for laser, cuz Ive heard that keloid scars should not even be exposed to laser.
    Take Care!
