I’m not saying that Jimmy ‘the heat’ Montana’s gambling isn’t a poison, or that he’s above other addicts. Thing is- when the gambling is for fruit, as opposed to money, not only are there no physical effects as with drug use, you’re actually improving your health by getting 5-a-day.
One form of escapism is no better than the other don’t try and justify your gambling by saying that what you do is better. We all pick our poisons the difficult part is just accepting the fact that what you are doing is harming yourself but also realizing that it is your choice to do so.
awsome comment very true theres just one problem the amount of pure cocaine it takes to cause an overdose is just over a gram and if it where pure and only 5 bucks at that how would we control and limit the number of overdoses.

i loved cocaine too dude, but i loved heroin even more. only problem was ! they didn’t love me back. i progressed from snorting to injecting one or both together ( speed ball )..i can’t say i’m cured..i’ve been clean 5 years, but i still have desires to get high on occasion, then i’ll have to ask myself do i want to live or die…i believe addiction can be arrested but not cured..for an addict like me ! just one bad decision can send one right back to that miserable existence

If cocaine cost 5 bucks a gram , like it would if it were legal , nobody would have to steal to get it . It would also be cleaner , take the money away from gangs and cartels , and we would save a billion dollars a year in incarceration costs . The Drug War has cost more families pain than the Iraq War , Vietnam , and Afghanistan combined . It has also spawned victim mentality programs like Narcotics Anonymous and called behavior disease .

Overdoses on all illegal drugs last year were less than 15,000 nationwide . 17,000 deaths from over the counter NSAIDs last year . 400,000 deaths from “properly prescribed” prescription drugs every year worldwide . Cocaine is relatively safe compared to some accepted medications . It is the legal stature of the drugs that makes them dangerous .
You also forget the fact that ALOT more people would be overdosing. Keep Drugs illegal i say, because if you dont ave the balls to break the law and do it, then you dont deserve to do it, te way I see it

It is the drug laws , not the drugs that cause people to steal . If we ended the stupid war on drugs , drug addicts would have jobs . Cocaine would cost like 10 dollars a gram . With the hundreds of millions we would save on law enforcement , we could open rehabs and jail those that did commit crmes under the influence , although that would happen much less often .
