Can MonaVie lower Cholesterol?

Starting a diet can seem like an impossible task. But you don’t need to jump in head first.  A few quick and easy dieting tips can get results. 1.   If you eat slower this will give your body time to “catch up” to the amount of food you’ve eaten, then you can better judge when you’re full.  Eating too quickly will result in that bloated, stuffed feeling, and no one likes that.

2.  Eating smaller meals with a healthy snack in between is much better than skipping a meal.  Many people think skipping meal will lead to weight loss but this isn’t the case.  Smaller more frequent meals will help to keep your metabolism going, meaning you will be digesting your food at a quicker rate.  This will prevent overeating at dinner or late at night.

3.  Not everyone has the time or money for a gym membership, but try to work some simple exercise into your routine.  Take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a walk in the morning or evening, or ride a bike.  I bike frequently for enjoyment and because it beats paying for gas.

4.  Eliminating fat from the diet is not the way to lose weight.  While reducing your fat intake is a healthy start, fat is still necessary in any diet.  In order to you need to know how different types of fat affect your body.  It is more important to stay away from bad fats that are in a lot of processed foods, such as saturated fats and trans fats.  Deep frying or cooking foods with a lot of oil or butter can really add to the fat and calorie content.

5.  Whole grains, fruits, and vegetables should be a daily part of any diet.  Try these as a replacement to snacks that contain empty calories and high fat content.  These natural foods are generally high in fiber, vitamins and low on calories.

6.  Before eating a meal try this easy dieting tip, drink a glass of water five to ten minutes before you eat.  Doing this will help fill you up and at the same time will prevent overeating at your next meal.

With these six easy dieting tips you will start to feel better and look better.   Eating slower and eating smaller meals, working in simple exercise, reducing you fat intake, eating healthy snack, and drinking water before a meal are all great ways to start losing weight.  Simple steps are a great way to begin on a path to a healthier life.

Best work out and diet tips for gaing muscle.?
I'm planning on becoming a police officer and need to get in shape for the academy. Please give me advice and tips on how to do this. Please include work out plans, diets, and anything else that will help me gain muscle. I need upper, middle and body strength. THANK YOU!!!

    From what I've learned it is far from being a wonder cure as some have made it out to be. In support of claims made for it's curative qualities they give this quote. "The most powerful concept in disease prevention and treatment today is inflammation. Inflammation may well turn out to be the elusive Holy Grail of medicine – the single phenomenon that holds the key to sickness and health."

But MonaVie reps claim that by reducing inflamation they will help to cure "heart disease, cancer, arthritis, obesity, diabetes, asthma, Alzheimer's, and allergies, lower cholestorol, etc.(2004)".The response that can be made to that: "Inflammation is not a disease, and it is not the cause of disease. It is a symptom of disease. You cannot cure pneumonia with a cough suppressant…. it's no real facts, it appears it is just hype.
    One person claimed that a lab report he obtained, showed MonaVie is only 5% Acai juice, that the rest is mostly water. There are complaints about other treatment/cure claims of MonaVie, such as severe pain from arthritis or a fall from a 30 foot ladder being eliminated within 1-2 days.There is a lot of hype on sites by promoters of Monavie but nothing to clinically back up any of the claims. Even a spokesperson(therefore on it's payroll) for it Earl Mindell, R.Ph., M.H., PhD. in his book, "Goji: The Himalayan Health Secret" spouts all sorts of claims and nothing is substantiated by any placebo-controlled double bind clinical trials and in fact any clinical research or valid studies. Also it is interesting to note that 9 shipments of the berries from China have been refused by FDA in the last 3 years because of unacceptable levels of pesticides (e.g., cypermethrin, dicofol, pyridaben, and triadimenol). You can buy lycium berries (Lycium barbarum) in bulk herb stores at $7-$10 a pound. Good quality lycium berries are the same stuff that is sold as goji for a far higher price. People also criticise because MonaVie is network marketing or MLM which is viewed by many as a legal pryamid enterprise and that is why the price is so outrageous. One bottle costs $45 (& price keeps shooting up)and recommended amount is 4 bottles a month! You don't have to pay absurd amounts to get any of the questionable benefits claimed. Just do as I and many others do; follow a careful organic vegetarian wholefood balanced diet with lots of raw food. It's far cheaper and better.for one's health.
